Box 2184 Newport News, VA 23609-2184 Club meets every Tuesday at 7:30 AM at Belgian Waffle & Steakhouse 14700 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA (Intersection of Warwick Blvd. & Old Courthouse Way) "A global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time" The Kiwanis Club of Denbigh was chartered September 19, 1967. Our primary purpose is to improve the community to make it a better place to live. The major focus of our club is young children and youth. Members work together to achieve goals which individuals alone could not accomplish and our projects are selected based on local needs. The club is incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a non-profit organization under IRS Section 501(c)(4) regulations. Income generated by our fund-raising activities is primarily used to support the local community. The Denbigh Kiwanis Club is one of nine clubs in Division 23, Capital District, Kiwanis International. Capital District (includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and D.C.) consists of 183 clubs with 7,000 members. Kiwanis International is composed of 8,000 clubs with 260,000 adult and 360,000 youth members in 96 countries world-wide. We conduct several fund raisers a year-most noteably our ANNUAL Spaghetti Splash Dinner and our Denbigh Day Program and activites.
